As we welcome the year 2012, we at Cann Hall and Harrow Green Baptist Church began the countdown to our 125th anniversary celebrations in May 2012. The iconic presence of our church here in Leytonstone since 1887 deserves more than a thousand tongues to sing the praises of our God. It is fitting in the last month of 2012 to raise a 125 Halleluyahs to the King of kings.
Lord we are grateful for every year in the life of our church. Thank you for Your faithfulness in finding people to keep our church going over the years. Young and old, male and female, people of different colour and races; Your hands have guided them all to share Your love and labour in Your vineyard. Lord of our years, we give You thanks and praise.
Lord God Almighty, omnipotent who reigns forever more, we bless Your name for every minister, organist, church secretary, treasurer, deacon, chorister, usher, Sunday school teacher, musician, church historian, flower arranger, visitor, and church member that shared in proclaiming Your love in our church. Please accept our 125 praises for new mercies received from You, year-in year-out.
We thank You Lord for the achievements of years gone by and we reach out to serve You and claim those things that You set to accomplish through us in the years to come. Ours is a testimony that in all Your words, Lord God You are most wonderful, most sure in all Your ways.
