Thanks be to God for the excellent coordinating skills of

with other people worked to make this event a memorable one

From gentle tunes to string music those that attended
were treated to great compositions by
Bach, Handel, Lemare, Widor and Elgar

Organist for the occasion
Mr Ronny Krippner  MA FRCO

About our Organ
When our church building was originally opened, £35 was spent in obtaining a small organ to lead the singing (it was sold in 1915 for 62p).  In 1911, after much discussion and fund raising the present pipe organ was built by the firm of R Spurden Rutt of Leyton at a cost of £450, of which £225 was given by Andrew Carnegie.  For 28 years it had to be pumped by hand (by Mr Ernest Ware, at a wage of £2.75p ayear) as an electric blower was not fitted until 1939.

About the Organist
Mr Kripner was born in Bavaria, Germany and studied organ playing and improvisation in Regensburg. After graduation Ronny went to Exeter University and took an MA degree in English Cathedral Music, He was also an Organ Scholar at Bristol Cathedral, and then Assistant Organist at Newport Cathedral. In September 2007 he was appointed Organist and Teacher of Music at King's College, Wimbledon, a position he now combines with being Assistant Director of Music at St George's Church, Hanover Square, London.
